First off for movies, we have The Dark Knight! The movie looks very good, and I plan to see it when it comes out. With all the action though, I think IMAX would give me a headache. Heath Ledger, as the Joker takes on the role perfectly from what I can see in the trailers. He portrays the psychopathic clown who usually isn’t as scary in the comics very creepily. I’m also glad to see the schizophrenic Two-Face in there as well. Spielberg added his own twist, which I like and am sure many other people will, too.

Next up is Indiana Jones, another Spielberg directed film. I saw this just a few days ago during a trip to Florida. Once again, Since this on is brand new, with new characters and such, and not slightly remade, there are some great, and some not so great new add-ons from Steven. The story is great, the cast is great, and Cate Blanchett as the villain, a Soviet agent, Irina Spalko is great. I’d recommend you see the film so you can see for yourself how good all the characters fit their roles, how great the story is, and how great of a movie it is in general!

It’s funny that I would happen to be writing this post while watching American Idol, but of course, I don’t really like American Idol. The only reason I’m watching it is because it’s the Season Finale. But trust me, I like music. …A lot. Some of the bands I like/love are:

And that’s not all, thats just the artists I like that are in my iTunes library, and I don’t keep EVERYTHING I like in iTunes. All of these bands are very/pretty good, and I’d recommend you check some of them out.

LIT is a new game that is currently unreleased that will be coming out for the Nintendo Wii’s downloadable game software called Wii Ware. The game is a 3-D horror-puzzler genre based game. In the game you’ll play as Jake, a high-school student, who himself has a very dark outlook on life, who must protect both himself and his girlfriend Rachael in a school where the students and teachers have turned into creatures lurking in the dark.

Going into the dark means death, but how do you stay in the light when almost everything is covered in shadow? Well, you can do a very large variety of things, such as shooting windows with your slingshot, turning on lamps and PCs to open up new paths of light for you to get to new places. Although the game is supposed to be a puzzler, in the boss battles it will be a lot more action based.

Unlike a lot of horror puzzle games, LIT doesn’t focus on things like finding keys to open doors. Not a lot is known about how you’ll control the Wii remote to play around with the different light sources and how to perform actions like throwing things, and recharging your flashlight. Also, since there’s a speaker built into the remote, you can put it up to your ears and answer cell-phone calls from Rachael.

Since it is a horror game, the monsters will be scary, obviously, but this time it’s rumored that the enemies will be a lot more than just “scary,” they’ll be terrifying. That’s really all I can tell you about the game, but to give you an idea of what Jake, and some of the bad guys will look like, here’s some art I found online to show you (right-click and choose View Image to enlarge.)

Today there was a trailer for a live-action movie based on the popular video game series “The Legend of Zelda” posted. Since it’s April fools day, its obviously fake, either way though, the trailer is still very convincing and interesting to watch, so I thought you all might like to check it out. Anyway, the trailer I still though was really cool, and it reminds me of the Final Fantasy movie, Final Fantasy: Advent Children. That was a really good movie too, although it was animated, but animated in such a real looking way, rather than live-action, like the fake Zelda trailer.

The next thing I’d like to talk about is Guitar Hero , the new game is going to be called Guitar Hero: On Tour, coming out for the Nintendo DS, which looks really strange. I read about it this morning in a magazine, and since I received the copy of the magazine on April fools day I thought it was just a joke. But then I realized I had heard about it somewhere else before. Now that I know it’s real, I’m curious about how it will turn out. Since the DS has a two screens, for this certain game you will hold it sort of like a book.

The notes for you to hit will be on the left screen, or upper screen, when holding the system as it would normally be held (one screen on top, one screen on bottom,) while the system for “picking” will be on the right, or bottom screen, which is also a touch screen. What about the actual buttons for hitting the notes appearing on the left screen? Well, for that there was a gaming peripheral designed specifically for the DS. Now, the system has a slot on the top, for putting in game for the DS, but since its backwards compatible with the GameBoy Advance, on the bottom of the system there is a slot for putting in Advance games. In the bottom slot you can plug in the peripheral, and since the system is held like a book, you’re left hand will be used to push down the combinations of notes that show up on the left screen.

Back to the picking. There’s a small plastic pick that comes with the peripheral so you can strum the guitar that’s on the right screen at the same time you push down the buttons that are being shown on the left screen. And there you have it, you’ve played a note, but it’s not over there, there can be thousands of notes in each song. In the original Guitar Hero games, theres 5 buttons, but for the this version of the game, there will only be 4.
